2. How are applications evaluated and accepted?
Application evaluations are conducted by a Referee Panel consisting of experts in your project's field. The panel is composed of three members: one industry expert and two faculty members. For applications where the company age is between 0-3 years, the proposal is sent to a single referee. Based on the referees' opinions, the Board of Directors makes a decision in accordance with relevant legal provisions, which is then communicated to the companies in writing. A company may be accepted, conditionally accepted, or its application may be rejected.
3. Is there a fee for applications to Yalova Teknopark?
Yes, fees are charged for project applications made to Yalova Teknopark. The amount varies based on specific criteria.
4. What are the office spaces like at Yalova Teknopark?
We offer offices of various sizes starting from 20 m², as well as 80 m² production workshops. Our modular office structure allows for flexibility in size. Accepted companies are allocated office spaces ready for operation with completed communication, internet, and electricity infrastructures. If a company wishes, they can customize the interior decoration of the office for their own use, provided they obtain necessary permits and commit to returning the office in its original condition upon departure. Proposed changes must be submitted to the Management Company as a project for approval.
5. What is the evaluation period for applications?
Evaluation results are typically obtained within 10-15 days following the completion of your project application file via the portal.
6. Who constitutes the Referee Panel?
The Referee Panel consists of academics and industry experts who are specialists in the company's field of activity, particularly in the proposed research and software development projects.
7. What happens if an application is not accepted?
There are no restrictions preventing entrepreneurs or companies whose applications are deemed unsuitable from applying again.
8. What are the obligations of companies operating in Yalova Teknopark?
Companies located in Yalova Teknopark that benefit from exemptions under Law No. 4691 must operate in accordance with this law. Primary obligations include delivering all requested information and documents for periodic monitoring and inspection by the Management Company or relevant public institutions and periodically filling out activity forms.
9. What sanctions are applied to companies in the Zone with no ongoing projects?
According to the Implementation Regulation for Technology Development Zones, an entrepreneur who has not submitted a new project within 30 days of completing their last one must be reported to the tax office and Social Security Institution. If a new R&D or design project is not started within three months, procedures for eviction from the Zone will be initiated, regardless of the current lease agreement period.
